It uses loads of VFX and CGI which is both expensive and impressive. It features superheroes from comics by Marvel Studios which Walt Disney have made into a film. This film is about the special bond that develops between Baymax, a plus-sized inflatable robot, and prodigy Hiro Hamada. When a devastating event befalls the city of San Fransokyo and catapults Hiro into the midst of danger, he turns to Baymax and his close friends adrenaline junkie Go Go Tomago, neatnik Wasabi, chemistry whiz Honey Lemon and fanboy Fred. Determined to uncover the mystery, Hiro transforms his friends into a band of high-tech heroes called "Big Hero 6."

Big Hero 6 will premiere on October 23, 2014 as the opening film at the Tokyo International Film Festival.
It will be theatrically released in the United States on November 7, 2014.
Before that it will feature in a number of film festivals in the USA; the Philadelphia International Film festival and Austin Film festival on the 25th October 2014, the New York International Children's Film Festival on the 26th October 2014, the Savannah Film and Video Festival on the 27th October 2014 and at the Hawaii Film Festival on the 1st November 2014. It will be released in the UK on the 30th January 2015.
A positive effect of a prolonged release would be that if loads of people liked it then there would be a positive word of mouth and therefore more people would want to go see it at later dates in their country. It will be globally released in around 54 countries.

There are really no big name Hollywood actors in this film because it will be predominantly animation so you'll only here their voices so it'll allow Walt Disney to spend more on the making of the film.
